Come and visit us. Come and slow down.
Your eyes shine, your heart relaxes. There is a scent of mountains, forests and the Seiser Alm. Bizarre rock formations appear. With a little luck you will encounter ibex, golden eagle, chamois or marmots up above in the Gröden Valley. We speak Ladin, a language that originated at the time the Romans settled along the main Alpine ridge, but we also speak German and Italian. Our ancestors grew oats, rye and barley here at Pufels (“Bula” in Ladin) at 1,500 metres above sea level.
We – Silvia Delago and Sebald Goller – wanted to share this mountain idyll with others so, at the turn of the millennium, we opened our guest house Arbea (Ladin for “wild pea”). Our apartments are traditionally and sustainably built and furnished in modern style.

A guest house for artSilvia Delago: Whenever possible, I carve portraits and figures. I learned the trade of sculptor from my father and I have set up a workshop on the ground floor of our establishment. I am pleased that my carving work delights people in South Tyrol and beyond. Some also features in the apartments. Since 1998 I have sung as a soprano with De cater, a local four-part choir for female voices.
Sebald Goller: There is always singing in my ears; I am constantly thinking about music. I conduct two choirs in addition to my main profession. I am always looking for new choral literature, old songs that have been forgotten, as well as vocal perfection.
Eva and Sofia: Music has always enchanted us. Eva and Sofia sing and play the piano.

Quality you can drinkWe supply Grander water from our pipes: the high-quality water from our mountain spring is revitalised according to the principles of Johann Grander, a concept based on the idea that water has an immune system. We conduct the water through special chambers without electricity or chemical additives, thereby improving the structure and strengthening the self-cleaning capacity and resilience of the water. This increases your drinking pleasure and well-being.
Peace on two wheelsWe rent out two e-bikes, which offer a particularly comfortable ride in the mountains. You can use our e-bikes to explore the Gröden Valley and the alpine pastures and mountains of the Dolomites at your own pace, all in an environmentally friendly way. UNESCO awarded the Dolomites the status of World Natural Heritage Site in 2009.
How to find us
The Arbea apartments are located in the village of Pufels, a quiet location between St. Ulrich and Kastelruth: just six kilometres from the Gröden Valley, right on the Seiser Alm and surrounded by the Dolomites. To get there by car take the Klausen Süd exit or use the handy public bus service from the nearby stations to St. Ulrich or Pufels. Your car can safely stay in our garage during your holiday.
